Rei Kawakubo’s radicalism bursts out onto the catwalk in all its limpid glory: an immaculate process where white is heavenly mistress of all ceremonies, the overall approach being pleasurably droll. That means oversized sleeves underscoring the laid-back sense of humor, with a succession of bell-shaped skirts and sharper cuts delivering pace and edge, where combinations of opaque fabrics add relief and more drollery.
